Exploring the Emoji Universe: Developing a Unique Twitter.

chirp_alt
This is a unique Twitter made by my own, where the user can only use emojis. It served as an excellent project to enhance my knowledge and practice various technologies and design patterns.

In this project, I had the opportunity to learn and implement the Next.js API with the innovative trpc, as well as to utilize the robust Prisma, hosted on the scalable infrastructure of Planet Scale. This allowed me to deepen my knowledge in web development and explore new technological horizons.

Case study
The problem
I wanted a self-contained product to practise end-to-end type safety, rather than another tutorial front end wired to a fake API.
My approach
I built an emoji-only Twitter using the Next.js API layer with tRPC for typed client-server calls, and Prisma against a PlanetScale database.
The outcome
A complete, deployed app with types flowing from the database all the way to the UI, and hands-on experience with tRPC and Prisma.
